A scientific and practical internet conference on pharmacology was held

On November 17, the Department of Pharmacology and Medical Prescription hosted the 1st scientific and practical internet conference with international participation “Modern aspects of achievements in fundamental and applied medical and biological directions of medical and pharmaceutical education and science”, which was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding pharmacologist, Professor Lyudmila Kyrychok.

The head of the department, Professor Tamara Yermolenko, opened the conference with a welcome speech. The first report was dedicated to the memory of Professor L.T. Kirichok on the occasion of her 90th birthday. Professor Kirichok made an invaluable contribution to the development of pharmacology as a science. Until the last days of her life she had been taking an active part in the work of the department and constantly passed on valuable scientific experience to her students.

Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Medical Formulation Olha Shapoval spoke about the main directions of scientific work and achievements of the department over the last 10 years of work. In the next part of the event, topical issues of the use of antioxidant properties of synthetic substances were discussed.

Representatives of many universities of Ukraine took part in the direct work of the conference, including scientists of the National Pharmaceutical University, Poltava State Medical University, and Bukovinian State Medical University. It should also be noted the support in the form of presentation of the results of scientific research on the part of foreign scientists, especially researchers from Georgia.

The conference ended with a discussion of the results, the participants shared their impressions and joy about lively communication among like-minded people, and expressed wishes for the event to become an annual tradition.

In this difficult time for the whole country, the staff of the department expresses great gratitude to everyone involved in the organization and holding of the event, and also wishes everyone inspiration and perseverance in the search for the true.
