On April 21, the fourth meeting of the Scientific Circle of the Student Scientific Society of the Department of General and Clinical Pathophysiology named after D.O. Alpern KHNMU under the name “Stress Awareness Day”.

The participants of the circle prepared a rich program, consisting not only of cognitive scientific reports and a creative display of abilities and skills dedicated to music therapy, but also of a presentation of a new development of students, on which work went on for almost 4 months – an interactive platform from the discipline of Pathophysiology (https://www.pathologysnt.com/).

Pathology SNT is a project founded by the student scientific society of the Department of General and Clinical Pathophysiology named after D.O. Alpern of the KhNMU.

The main goals of Pathology SNT are to create and develop favorable conditions for the formation of highly qualified and competitive specialists and to improve the quality of training and education of future specialists.

At the meeting on April 21, the capabilities of the interactive platform were presented and described in detail.

One of the reasons to be proud of the developed platform is that the site was evaluated and included in the database of search engines in such a way that when the name of an outstanding scientist is requested in the Google search engine, the link to the Pathology SNT page appears first, or second after “Wikipedia”.

This shows that the site not only contains many keywords and relevant phrases, but also proves the quality and usability of the information provided.

Some of the features of Pathology SNT are:

There is on the main page:

  • “Calendar of meetings of the student scientific society of the Department of General and Clinical Pathological Physiology named after D.O. Alpern”, in which any user can always find and not miss updates of important events of the department and announcements of meetings of the circle, as well as add reminders about the event to your Google Meet calendar;
  • Navigation and content for the entire platform;
  • Geolocation of our alma mater.
  • The “History of the department” section will help students of higher education to familiarize themselves with the path of the department of general and clinical pathophysiology named after D.O. Alpern of KhNMU in chronological order, as well as detailed information about each scientist. Animations of photos of scientists used on the site are unique and have no analogues in the Internet, because they are made by hand frame by frame using a special program.
  • It is also mandatory for the development of the present and the future to honor and mention the activities of outstanding scientists-laureates of the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine, about whom a separate section has also been created with detailed information about the activities and biography of each.

Every user of the site will be able to use it to study and get acquainted with various topics in pathophysiology thanks to the “Film Library” section. In addition, this section presents not only videos by topic, but also an opportunity to watch video materials in English on topics of interest, as well as to improve the skills of English terms and understanding of this discipline in English.

Quite often, students think about which literature they should study pathophysiology. Therefore, based on the recommendations of the Department of General and Clinical Pathophysiology named after D.O. Alpern of KhNMU, as well as the Scientific Library of KhNMU, the Pathology SNT team has collected useful literature that will be useful for studying this discipline in the “Bibliography” section. At the end of this page, you can also find a link to the KhNMU Repository.

A team of students who contribute to the development of the site (more details – Section “About us”):

Pathophysiology is a multifaceted science, where there is no limit to perfection, and there is always something to work on.

It is not surprising that this science is usually viewed from different points of view: it is a science and an educational discipline that has its own methodology, reveals and teaches such important concepts as medical ethics and experimentation. And of course, like any science, pathophysiology has its own terminology and forms the correct outlook of the future Doctor!
