Kharkiv students set a Ukrainian record!

On December 3, volunteers of the Student Government of KhNMU took part in setting a record of Ukraine (with entry in the National Register of Records) for the production of trench candles within 24 hours, which took place just before the International Volunteer Day.

The event was organized by the trade union committee of students of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky. More than 250 participants from different cities of Ukraine joined the good cause in order to wind trench candles and give warmth to our defenders.

Volunteers set an impressive result – 5,359 trench candles and warmed defenders!

Almost 90% of people made candles for the first time, but now they can teach others and spread this good cause. Despite the power outage, lack of heating and interruption due to air raids, the volunteers warmed each other with their hearts and once again showed Ukrainian fortitude!

We are very grateful to the humanitarian headquarters of the students’ trade union committee of KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi for the opportunity to join a good cause, the organizations that helped with the event, as well as everyone who joined in setting a record for making trench candles in 24 hours!

Most of all, thanks to our Defenders for their extraordinary efforts and records every day. No one can put out our fire! Glory to Ukraine!
