Congratulations to the students on the award!
On February 9, students of Kharkiv National Medical University Karina Brivka (II Medical Faculty), Sofia Kovalchuk (II Medical Faculty), Vladislav Haman (II Medical Faculty), Sofia Uskova (III Medical Faculty), Danilo Bondarenko (III Medical Faculty) p. active support of the Center for Gender Education in the festival of theaters among higher educational institutions of the Kharkiv region “Gender in Action – 2022”.
- The festival was attended by student theaters of 7 higher educational institutions of Kharkiv: Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (“Wings of Equality”);
- Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy” of the Kharkiv Regional Council (“Oberig”);
- Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (Skovoroda);
- Kharkiv National Medical University (Kharkiv Medical);
- National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine (“Lyceum”);
- Military Institute of Tank Troops of NTU KhPI (“Steel Force”);
- National University of the National Guard of Ukraine (“5G”).
The festival’s primary goal is to encourage student youth through creativity to an active gender-sensitive life position and participation in peacebuilding processes.
The first stage of the festival was to prepare homework in the form of a video on “How gender equality is achieved in our higher education institution.” In the second stage, each theater received a text of a life situation that needs to be overcome.
KhNMU was worthily represented by the Kharkiv Medical Student Theater participants, who impressed the audience and the competition jury with their video and improvisational performance and took the honorable third place among seven teams of higher education institutions of the Kharkiv region.
