Active participants of the Festival of Youth Science

On 24 June 2022, the Kharkiv National Medical University launched the “Medicine of the Third Millennium” Youth Science Festival. This event was attended by students and young scientists of the Department of Biological Chemistry. Assistant of the Department Anastasia Bezrodna presented a report “Tumour necrosis factor alpha content in the serum of rats during the influence of xenobiotics on the body” and graduate student Oleksandr Kislov made presentation “Generation of reactive oxygen forms in rats’ white blood cells after implantation of tantalum-based materials” during the breakout session “Clinical Environmental Medicine”. The high level of preparation and presentation of the reports was recognized by the First Grade Diploma (Assistant Anastasia Bezrodna) and the First Grade Diploma (Graduate student Oleksandr Kislov).

As part of the work of the festival a brain-ring among students and young scientists “Medicine without limits” was held, in which the team of Biological Chemistry Department “Alchemists” took part: assistant Tetyana Brukhanova (captain), assistant Anastasia Bezrodna, graduate student Oleksandr Kislov and assistant Valeriya Goidina. It is also important to note that the Department of Biological Chemistry has always supported the initiative of higher education students to participate in scientific and practical events, so one of the participants in the team was a student of 2nd year, First Medical Faculty (2 group) Artem Stromilo. The team “Alchemists” occupied the first place by the results of brain-ring.
