Training on gender equality was held
On November 9-10, the training “Uniting for change: building a coalition to ensure gender equality and combat gender-based violence” took place in the city of Kyiv, for which 4th-year student Valeriya Shevchenko, who has been implementing educational activities for the past year, was competitively selected to participate in this training in KhNMU and beyond on issues of: gender equality, anti-discrimination, bullying, domestic violence, basic skills of conflict studies.
On October 12, 2023, the NGO “La Strada-Ukraine” announced a competitive recruitment for participation in the training “Uniting for change: building a coalition to ensure gender equality and combat gender-based violence”
The training took place thanks to the support of the Government of Canada as part of the “Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine” Project, which is implemented by the Ukrainian Women’s Fund
Representatives of women’s and human rights public organizations, activists, human rights defenders who work or plan to work in the interests of women and girls, including women and girls from vulnerable groups, were invited to participate in the competition.
In 2 days, all training participants had the opportunity to learn about:
- the structure of the coalition, the purpose and features of its creation;
- challenges that may be encountered on the way to building a coalition;
- skills and abilities that a representative of a Public Organization must possess before joining the coalition;
- strengthening opportunities for sharing experience, expanding the circle of partners, networking.
As a result of successful training, all training participants received certificates.
