KhNMU professor – participant of the International Congress

Head of the Department of Philosophy, Kateryna Karpenko, took part in the work of the XIX Congress of the International Association of Women Philosophers (IAPh), which was held from July 31 to August 4 in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. The main topic of the congress: “Feminism today.”

Contribution of philosophy to the fight against violence, discrimination, and exclusion”. Prof. Karpenko delivered a report “Ecofeminist methodology as a means of combating ecocide in war and post-war times”, which was discussed with interest by the participants of the congress. Participation in the conference was carried out within the framework of the MSCA4Ukraine grant program, ID number 1232949.

There were also meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian cultural society “Prosvita” in the Argentine Republic, which were organized by the chairman of the board of the society, Mr. Yurii Danalyshyn, at which prof. Karpenko shared her scientific findings on the problem of ecocide in Ukraine, and also got acquainted with the significant contribution of the society to educational activities regarding the history and present of Ukraine and actions in support of Ukraine in the war against russia, which Ukrainians are currently conducting in Argentina.
