The commonality and consistency of the goals of the medical university with partners make it possible to carry out charitable events aimed at acquiring modern medical equipment used in the departments of the university’s clinical bases.

Thus, thanks to the support of the leadership of KhNMU and sponsors of the university, with the support of Professor Rostislav Shevchenko, Thora-Seal chest drainage devices were donated to the clinical bases of the Department of Surgery No. 4 as part of a charity event.

These systems can be used both in the mode of passive drainage of the pleural cavity, and in the mode of active drainage. The presence of these devices allows you to individually approach the choice of the mode of drainage of the pleural cavity in patients in whom the chest organs have been operated on. This contributes to faster expansion of the lungs in the postoperative period, and the mobility of the device leads to early activation of the patient.

Professor Rostislav Shevchenko clearly demonstrated the operation of the Thora-Seal device for chest drainage to the Dean of the VII faculty for the preparation of foreign students Oksana Vasylieva.
