KhNMU graduate students took part in an international seminar
On November 15, first-year PhD students of KhNMU, as part of the study of the educational component “Philosophy of Science,” took part in the international seminar ” Interferences – Act up/Building up: EcoTechGender Action Group,” organized by the director of the Center for Women in the History of Philosophy and Science of the University of Paderborn (Germany), Professor Ruth Hagengruber, and the head of the EcoTechGender research group, Dr. Felix Grewe. The conference participants were PhD students from 7 countries around the world. The head of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences and director of the Center for Gender Education of KhNMU, Professor Kateryna Karpenko, was invited as the keynote speaker for the seminar.
PhD students of KhNMU delivered brilliant reports and provided thorough answers to numerous questions during the discussion. Dariya Shevel delivered a report on “Medicine and Ecology” and emphasized the importance of new technologies for pediatrics in this context. Bohdan Khmilchevsky’s report “Application of Artificial Intelligence for Diagnosis and Prognosis of Oncological Patients: A Bioethical Perspective” sparked a lively discussion. The discussion participants noted the importance and timeliness of studying these issues. Denys Honchar’s report “Gender Aspects in Surgery: The Role of Women in Modern Surgical Practice and Career Challenges” was highly profound, fascinating in its presentation style, and acute in the questions’ content.
