For the third year in a row, Mohamad Fares, a student of the 5th year, group 4a, has impressed the teachers of the PRD and I Department with his success in education and research. Due to his professional interest and a whole series of qualities that are inherent to him, namely: creativity and excellent command of modern technologies, serious attitude and concentration on tasks, intelligence and education, all this allowed him to conduct a questionnaire among a sufficient number of respondents, with the purpos of researching the perception of aesthetics and naturalness of the “third” and real, natural teeth before and after restoration, on the example of famous (prominent) and ordinary people.

The survey, together with a well-chosen collage of photos, also interested domestic students and teachers, which allowed them to test their knowledge of English.

“Looking from The Past to The Future and What Our Teeth say about Us” – this is a topic for a sincerely interested professional and, at the same time, a topic for a report and theses! In addition, the student’s scientific work is devoted to the study of facts regarding anthropometric studies of the human dentition-maxillary system in view of the peculiarities of nutrition in the process of hominization. The report and, as a result, a brilliant 2nd place at the Conference of Young Scientists in early 2022.

Next and the latest Mohamad’ step in student scientific research work was on the 13th of February 2023 with printed abstract and presentation “The Impact of War on Dental Care in Kharkiv, Ukraine “during on-line Festival of Young Scientists “The Third Millennium Medicine”. The result of convenient and actual spearch – bright 2nd place!

The topic  of the ongoing war heavy imprint passed as red ribbon through meaningful, restrained and thoughtful student research work: our difficulties and our response, our ability to survive and struggle – this is what motivates all of us to work in the name of Ukraine, us – people of different continents!

Sengupta Isha Mary Arundhati – a student of the 5th year, group 7a – a smart, extremely responsible and diligent girl – a worthy representative of the KhNMU Student  Scientific Society. The active research work of the student under our   department teacher’ guidance – ass. Natalia Volodymyrivna Golik and ass. prof. Yulia Volodymyrivna Fomenko, led to the scientist and intellectual product creation in the form of theses and a presentation had been proposed at two conferences hold in 2022 at the Kharkiv National Medical University.

The journal “Public Health in Ukraine: Problems and Ways to solve them” published the results of a research, devoted to the socially significant aspects and features of providing dental care in the conditions of artillery combat on the border territories in Ukraine within the framework of the 5th Scientific and Practical Conference  with international participation (KHNMU, 28/10/2022).

The inexhaustible enthusiasm of the Kharkiv National Medical University students, decorated with integral competencies that are conducted by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Implantology teachers, means: intellectuality, professionalism, creativity, high pedagogical skill and dedication to their work, all this contributes to raising the level of education of young scientists, expanding their outlook and forming the qualities inherent in real professionals.
