Event for World TB Day

March 24, 2023 at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology named after Prof. D.P. Grynyov, an event dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day was held, in which of 2-3 years students took part. At the beginning of the event, the head of the department, Prof. Maryna Mishyna noted that the founder of the department, Damian Grynyov, as well as his students and successors, also dealt with the problem of tuberculosis.

The purpose of the event was to popularize the topic of tuberculosis in Ukraine and in the world, to deepen the general medical and historical knowledge of the students of the 2nd-3rd year. The participants fully demonstrated their creative and scientific potential, performing graphic format work competitions on the topic of the causative agent of tuberculosis itself, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this disease.

The event took place in an online format using the Google Meet video conferencing service and platforms for conducting online surveys Mentimeter, Survio. Students demonstrated an extraordinary interest in the topic, a high level of erudition and a desire for new knowledge.
