Events for the World AIDS Day were held
On December 1, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., an educational lecture dedicated to World AIDS Day was held on the Google Meet platform. The main goal is to draw society’s attention to this problem and spread knowledge and awareness about it.
50 students from various faculties and courses joined the lecture. The event was organized by the media space sector of the Student Government of KhNMU and took place in 2 parts:
• In the first part, medical students jointly prepared informative reports, with the help of which the following topics were discussed in detail:
1. General information about HIV;
2. Mechanism and ways of virus transmission;
3. The first signs of the disease;
4. How to prevent the virus from entering?;
5. What to do and where to go if you suspect HIV symptoms?;
6. Actions of a medical worker in the event of an accident during medical manipulations.
• In the second part of the event, students received answers to questions on the topic, and also had the opportunity to check the knowledge gained during the event by passing tests in Google form.
All those who answered all the questions correctly received certificates from the Student Self-Government of KhNMU. All those present repeated and learned a lot of new and interesting information about the human immunodeficiency virus.
The World Day of Understanding with HIV-infected and AIDS patients is celebrated around the world every year on December 1. It was first celebrated on December 1, 1988 at the initiative of the World Health Organization. Since then, this day has been celebrated annually as part of the “16 Days Against Violence” campaign.
