Excursion to the Museum of Physiology

On January 29, 2025, as part of the project “Curators of Freshmen” of the Student Government of KhNMU, an excursion was organized for 1st-year students to the Museum of the Department of General and Clinical Pathological Physiology named after D.O. Alpern.

The head of the department, Professor Mykhailo Myroshnychenko, gave an interesting lecture in which he spoke about the founding of the department, its development and outstanding scientists who have made a significant contribution to medical science. Students learned about the key areas of the department’s work and modern methods of teaching pathophysiology. An interesting part of the excursion was a visit to the department’s museum, where unique exhibits, archival documents, photographs and scientific works are presented, reflecting the long history of the department’s development.

The excursion left a pleasant impression and contributed to a better understanding of the role of pathological physiology in medicine. The students expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the event and the department for an interesting and meaningful meeting.
