Еvent for World Cancer Day

Every year since 2005, on February 4, the world celebrates International Cancer Day. This year, the team of the public education and volunteering sector of the Student Government of KhNMU did not stand aside and prepared an educational event dedicated to World Cancer Day, which discussed the main features of cancer and ways to overcome them. And of course, according to tradition, after the event an online quiz was waiting for the participants, where all active participants could test and consolidate their knowledge, as well as receive a certificate.

The following topics were considered at the event:
1. Carcinogens and their influence;
2. Ways to reduce the risk of developing cancer;
3. Diagnosis of oncological diseases;
4. Basic concepts about the treatment of oncological diseases;
5. Cancer after coronavirus;

After each topic, motivated students had the opportunity to ask questions that interested them. As a result, the most active participants were determined.

The event aroused interest in the treatment and diagnosis of oncological diseases. The reports correctly and professionally conveyed to the listeners the importance of prevention and prevention of cancer. In addition, students paid attention to the moral aspect of the work of an oncologist and enriched their knowledge.
