About charitable donation of blood plasma

On September 29, there was a live broadcast about charitable donation with the participation of KhNMU students.

Who, why, and most importantly, for whom are people willing to donate a part of themselves and their blood today? This was discussed on the live broadcast of NovaLine radio by Galina Siroshtran, the director of the Kharkiv branch of Biopharma Plasma, together with a donor and philanthropist, Marina Orlova, the director of the Valky Center for Primary Medical Care, and activists-ambassadors of the donor movement, representatives of the Student Self-Government of Kharkiv National Medical University, Katerina Topolyuk and Bogdan Ponomar.

Speakers presented charity events and projects aimed at supporting wounded military and civilian people to Kharkiv radio listeners. They talked about donating blood plasma and bone marrow, about cooperation with public organizations and charitable foundations. About how business gets involved in the promotion and support of charitable donation. Our medical students, in turn, told how young people perceive the donation of blood and its components and how actively they participate in the donor movement, which in general motivates people to become donors and involve others in it.

“We show by our example that donating is not a compulsion, but something that we really want to do of our own free will. Imagine, thanks to the donation, we can safely help a part of ourselves to our Defenders and civilians who need help donation!” – say the students.

All listeners were also reminded that they can participate in the charity donation auction for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, with the support of the volunteer battalion “Hospitaliers”, which will last until October 15, 2023.

Remember that by taking joint steps we can save lives and bring our Victory closer! Together we can do great good!
