Taking the military oath

140 graduates of the Department of Medicine Catastrophes and Military Medicine of Kharkiv National Medical University (KhNMU) successfully completed the training program for reserve officers and solemnly took the Military Oath of Allegiance to the Ukrainian people. For 4 years, students of KhNMU, Kharkiv National University named after Vasily Karazin and the National Academy of Pharmacy persistently studied the case of military medicine. Practical classes and military training meetings were held on the basis of military units.
At the same time, the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in conducting the anti-terrorist operation was taken directly from military doctors who several years was in the area of hostilities. This fact mobilized them to positive training and understanding of the importance of the work of a military medic.
In May of this year, our students improved their practical knowledge at a military training fees held at the Military Institute of Tank Troops of NTU “KhPI”. Then they passed the final exams.
Leaders of three Kharkiv universities, representatives of veterans’ organizations, officers-teachers and relatives of graduates of the military department were present at the ritual of dedication in the defenders of Ukraine.
The cadets of the Military Institute of Tank Troops of NTU “KhPI” and the brass band of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force provided a solemn moment of taking the Military Oath.
Graduates receive the military rank of “second lieutenant of the medical service of reserve”, which will allow them to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations of Ukraine.
