Events to mark Children's Day
Every year on 1 June, the International Children’s Day is celebrated. The KhNMU community always pays attention to children, and continues to do so in the face of a full-scale invasion.
On 30, 31 May, 1 and 3 June, the team of the Era Caritas sector of the NGO ‘KhNMU Student Self-Government’ made a number of visits to children in Kharkiv hospitals.
At the beginning of each event, the volunteers got to know the kids. Each child told about himself or herself and their preferences. Thus, the medical students managed to create a cosy and sociable atmosphere and encourage children to interact further.
Then the children and the volunteers painted. The children were offered colouring books on various topics (cartoons, fairy-tale characters, nature, science fiction, cars, etc.) and free drawing. Then, together with the volunteers, the children assembled puzzles with different patterns, modelled with plasticine, read fairy tales, studied animals, birds, dishes and much more with the help of educational books.
In the end, each child received a gift from the Era Caritas sector – colouring books, books, felt-tip pens, pencils, paints, stickers, stickers, soap bubbles, notebooks, albums, puzzles, plasticine. A total of UAH 2,415 was raised to buy gifts for the kids.
All the participants of the Children’s Day event were delighted with the event. At the end of this extremely interesting educational event, the children sincerely thanked the students and expressed their desire to meet again at the next events of the Era Caritas sector team of the KhNMU Student Government.
