Events for World Psoriasis Day

On October 29, the team of the public education and volunteering sector of the Student Self-Government of KhNMU held an educational event dedicated to the “Psoriasis Day”.

The purpose of this event is to increase students’ awareness of psoriasis, a chronic non-infectious skin disease. The prevalence of psoriasis in the world is about 3%, and the number of patients in Ukraine is more than 1 million. The purpose of this event was to prove how important it is to prevent psoriasis and prevent the activation of “trigger factors”.

The following topics were discussed at the event: causes of the disease, types of psoriasis, diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis, myths and interesting facts about psoriasis

After each presentation, interested students had the opportunity to ask questions that interested them. A quiz was also held, where the participants could test their knowledge, and as a result of which the most successful winners received certificates.

The event aroused the interest of the listeners. The speakers correctly and professionally conveyed the importance of prevention of this disease.
