The conference ‘Gender. Ecology. Health’ took place
On October 24-25, the VIII International Interdisciplinary Scientific and Practical (Online) Conference “Gender. Ecology. Health” was held at Kharkiv National Medical University. The conference was organized by the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences and the Center for Gender Education. Over 200 people participated in various formats: specialists from leading Ukrainian universities (Kyiv, Poltava, Lviv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and others), as well as from abroad (USA, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Great Britain, Singapore, Turkey), along with scientific and educational staff, healthcare professionals in Ukraine, and students across all levels of education.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Professor Oksana Nakonechna, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants. She emphasized the importance of consistent support for incorporating the gender component into the university’s educational, methodological, scientific, and research activities. This year’s conference focused heavily on issues that worsened during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The event gathered experts from various fields, including medicine, philosophy, sociology, psychology, history, and ecology, enabling a comprehensive analysis of problems and developing new solutions.
