KhNMU's cooperation with British partners continues
Last week, Kharkiv National Medical University received a Letter of Appreciation from the Cormack Consultancy Group and the Twinning project team, marking the conclusion of a three-year collaboration with the University of Cambridge, UK, during the full-scale war in Ukraine.
We quote the message from our British partners:
“We would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Kharkiv National Medical University, to your leadership, and to every member of your academic community. Your strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to educational excellence in the face of unimaginable hardship inspire us beyond words. The way your university has not only endured but continues to lead, innovate, and extend the hand of partnership is truly remarkable!”
Although the Twinning project no longer benefits from formal funding, cooperation between KNMU and other UK universities continues.
In particular, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in January 2025 between Kharkiv National Medical University and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), and with the support of the UK-based Burdett Trust for Nursing, a three-week practical internship for a group of KNMU students specializing in Nursing began on July 7, 2025, at NTU’s university hospital.
During the internship, the students from Kharkiv will have the opportunity to visit the clinical departments of the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), under the supervision of nurse educators, and to collaborate with Advanced Clinical Practitioners – healthcare professionals working in integrated care teams – while developing hands-on nursing skills.
We wish our students great success in their internship and look forward to receiving their positive feedback!
