Roundtable on Academic Integrity

On December 23rd, a round table “Comparison of rules for academic papers in Ukraine and abroad”, organized by Our Library in cooperation with the Educational Quality Assessment Department of the Student Council of KhNMU, was held in the online format.

The speakers of the event were director of the library Iryna Kyrychok, vice-rector for scientific work Professor Valeriy Myasoedov, students or the II medical faculty Khadija Abdullayeva (5 course) and Anastasia Tunik (2 course), as well as head of the information and bibliographic department of the library Svitlana Kravchenko. The discussion was joined by the staff of the Scientific Library – deputy director for IT Tetiana Pavlenko and head of the sector of information and analytical work Olga Kuts and other participants of the event – students.

Discussed the rules of registration of works, the use of managers of citations, looked for answers to the questions: how these are different from scientific articles; publications on what topic are taken into account for the defense of a dissertation for PhD; what style to choose for a list of references; how to properly execute a reference to an electronic source? Whether it is necessary to translate citations in the text; whether it is necessary to use citation managers and which of them is the best and many others.

The event was attended by nearly 70 people, and the atmosphere was friendly and conducive to fruitful discussion.
