An action was held to popularize the donor movement
On September 14, 2024, a team of KhNMU volunteers, together with DonorUA, with the support of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports Affairs of the Kharkiv City Council, as well as the Kharkiv Metro, took part in the organization of the #Pobach campaign.
This cooperation was proposed to the DonorUA organization by students of our university and became the first in Kharkiv during a full-scale invasion. The purpose of the campaign was to attract new donors, raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and support the popularization of the donor movement in Kharkiv.
The action took place in a safe place – at the Maidan Konstitutsi metro station – one of the most active places in Kharkiv, which made it possible to attract a fairly large number of participants.
During the event, everyone had the opportunity to check their blood type and learn more about the types of donations and the donation process.
For this purpose, a point was set up for carrying out blood group tests using EldonCards systems used in field conditions on the battlefield.
The event aroused considerable interest among the city’s residents. During the day, the volunteer students were approached by a large number of people who expressed a desire to join the donor movement. This indicates a high level of awareness and interest of Kharkiv residents in social and medical initiatives.
The #See campaign became an important event for Kharkiv and once again emphasized the need to develop a culture of blood donation in Ukraine.
