KhNMU students visited a shelter for dogs
On December 11, the team of the Public Education and Volunteering Sector of the Student Government of KhNMU visited the Temporary Animal Shelter “Exhibition Center” once again. Winter is not an obstacle to good deeds, and our volunteers come to the shelter specifically to walk and help adapt animals to wartime conditions who lost their owners as a result of a full-scale invasion.
By visiting shelters, volunteers do an important job.
“A dog spends most of its life in a cage alone (with other dogs, without a person). If today, having such an opportunity, we do not go to the shelter – the dog will simply not leave the cage for another day. Therefore, no matter what the weather is like and no matter how much you want to stay in a warm bed, you have to force yourself to get up, and then, as soon as you find yourself next to the animals, you realize that you came for a reason – and fatigue and laziness instantly disappear.” – volunteers say.
Soon, the students are going to cooperate with the Temporary Shelter, conducting educational lectures for all interested parties about the purpose of walking animals and how they can adapt to certain conditions.
