CGE KhNMU is a part of the All-Ukrainian Network of Gender Centers, participates in all activities initiated by the Network, including trainings on gender audit and social actions on gender equality. Students, graduate students and young teachers of the university: M. Kostina, N. Katelevskaya, N. Guzhva, N. Zavgorodnya, A. Sheiko, D. Feldman, V. Sirchina, A. Ashurov, P. Maltsev, Akil Mugapu Veera, A. Lavrova, T. Fadeeva, A. Feskova, D. Stukalkina, and others became winners of All-Ukrainian and regional competitions on gender issues.

KhNMU students regularly participate and become winners in regional competitions on gender issues.

On June 11, 2021, the winners of the XV Regional Scientific Competition of Young Scientists’ “Gender Policy through the Eyes of Ukrainian Youth” were awarded at Kharkiv National Medical University. Among the winners were students of the IV Medical Faculty of our University. Polina Borodina (scientific supervisor Prof. Karpenko K.I.) received the first-degree diploma for the work “Gender assessment of the impact of COVID-19 on the activities of the medical staff of Chuguiv Central Hospital named after M.I. Kononenko”. Valeria Kamchatna and Tamara Shengelia (research supervisor Assoc. Prof. Maria Shcherbina) received a third-degree diploma.

This year, 43 scientific works from 17 higher education institutions were submitted to the competition. Young researchers presented relevant and meaningful research on introducing gender equality in various spheres of society.
